The boat launch workshop, which was originally scheduled for February but was rescheduled due to winter weather, will be held from 3:30-5 p.m. in the commission room at the port office on Monday, May 16. A regular meeting of the port commission will follow, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Over the last 18 months, the Port of Woodland has been exploring options for a public boat launch facility, with the intent of developing a state-of-the-art boat launch facility in the Woodland Port District. The commission and those in attendance will hear a brief presentation from Executive Director Nelson Holmberg about options that currently exist for consideration. Commissioners will also hear public input. No decisions will be made at this meeting, but the workshop is another step in the process as the port works toward a short-term strategic goal to develop a boat launch.
The workshop is open to the public, but the commission room has a limited capacity, so RSVP’s are appreciated. To RSVP attendance at the workshop, contact Holmberg by email at email@example.com, or by telephone at 360-225-6555.
